It is a 4-week programme. There are a series of pre-programme modules that need to be completed before you start the programme. These modules will help you to plan and prepare for the programme ahead while also helping you to understand how the programme works and how to navigate the modules. These pre-programme modules are completed at your own pace and normally take between 1 to 2 days to complete.

Once you enrol in the programme you will access to our LK information centre which has lots of information about what keto is, the foods you can eat and many other keto related issues. However, simply put a keto diet is where you restrict your daily amount of carbs and sugar intake below 50 grams.
This is a question I always get asked. The fact is there is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. Essential means your body needs it to function. Protien is essential and so are Fats but not carbs. The brain needs a certain amount of glucose a day, however this can be provided through the leafy green vegetables you will eat on a low carb diet. Glucose is can also be created though the other sources in your body without the need for carbs. This and much more information you will find in the LK Centre once you enrol.
A ketogenic diet is not only safe to, do it is safe to do long-term. Many people having been living on a ketogenic diet for a number of years. A ketogenic is even used to treat children with epilepsy.
A low carb diet is one of the best things you can do for your health if you have diabetes. However, you must keep a close eye on your blood sugar levels because the keto diet reduces them. If you use your usual insulin dose, which also reduces your blood sugar your levels may drop too low, leading to hypoglycemia. Because of the affect carb restrictions on your blood sugar you would need to monitor your levels closely during the programme.
Certainly, a low carb diet can be an excellent way to lose excess weight, while still eating all the nutritious foods that you and your baby needs.
However, it is best to follow a higher carb restriction rather than a really low carb diet. Once you stop breastfeeding you can adopt any of the other carb restriction levels that LEAN Keto offers.
If you are on blood pressure medication and start a keto diet, there is a risk of getting a low blood pressure (hypotension). Adopting a keto diet is a way to lower your blood pressure, this blood lowering effect can happen within days. If you are also taking medication to lower your blood pressure, it could drop your levels too low and affect your health. With this in mind, you would need to be more mindful and monitor your blood pressure often to ensure it does not drop too low. Having high blood pressure will not stop you from doing the programme. If you feel weak, tired, dizzy etc during the programme. you should check your blood pressure to see if it has dropped too low.
It really depends on the type of injury you have. The exercise programme has three levels from beginner to advanced and can be done at your own pace. I would advise seek the advice of your doctor on how much and how intensive you are able to exercise.
The mainstream media often demonises saturated fat and cholesterol. They claim these compounds, clog arteries and cause heart disease. If that were true, the keto diet would be terrible for your heart as it has you loading up on high-fat foods such as bacon, eggs, and nuts. The truth? Consuming cholesterol and saturated fat does not cause cardiovascular disease.
Also, recent 2018 study published in Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology reviewed data from over 1 million individuals and concluded that LDL (LDL is termed as the bad cholesterol) does not cause heart disease.
