What is a raw vegan diet?

A raw vegan food diet is based around eating nothing but fresh, unprocessed fruits, vegetables, sprouted grains, unprocessed nuts and unprocessed seeds.  Raw food diets are simply another word for eating fresh foods.

So what benefits will you gain from doing this 7-day raw vegan diet challenge?

  • The 7-day diet will act as a cleanse/detox for your body.
  • It will also help you to shift a few of those pounds you have been trying to lose.
  • People on a raw vegan food diet have reported more energy as their body is using less of its resources to digest food.
  • It has also been found that the heating of food destroys its nutrients and natural enzymes, which is bad because enzymes boost digestion and fight chronic disease.

What foods can you eat on the 7-day Raw Vegan Diet Challenge?

You can eat whole unprocessed foods which include:

  • Whole, fresh, ripe fruit
  • Raw vegetables
  • Leafy greens, sprouts
  • Raw nuts and seeds (Not roasted or salted)
  • Organic whenever possible
  • Frozen fruits or veggies are fine just make sure on the label of the package that there is no added ingredients.

What foods should you not eat?

  • Prepackaged processed foods
  • Grains
  • Beans
  • Dairy, eggs or any animal based products
  • Meat
  • Honey
  • Vinegar
  • Alcohol
  • Caffeine
  • Salt

What about smoothies and juices?

Smoothies and juices are a great way to complement your raw vegan diet. Just make sure the ingredients are raw and unprocessed.

What about raw vegan recipes?

We will be providing you with a number of raw vegan recipes that you can have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There will also be a number of smoothie and juice recipes for you to try.

While you’re on your 7-day raw vegan journey just be super gentle with yourself and remember to drink lots of water. You can also drink warm tea and warm water with lemon.
